Dr. Greg Parkin-Smith

About

Dr Parkin-Smith initially qualified as a chiropractor in South Africa, after which he worked as both a university academic and chiropractor across South Africa, UK and Australia for 13 years. He completed a MSc (Clin Neuro) and a Doctorate (DrHC) while working in the UK, at University College and King’s College, London, respectively. He read medicine as a mature student at Bart’s & the Royal London School of Medicine, University of London, and qualified in 2007. He completed his medical Internship in the UK before immigrating to Australia, where he subsequently undertook his postgraduate medical training.

He is now living with his family in Busselton, where he and his family intend to remain, while practicing at Synergy Sports Medicine. He continues to participate in academic practice and published 2-3 research papers yearly in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Apart from practicing, his special interest areas are chronic spinal pain, musculoskeletal medicine, mental health and occupational medicine. He was past co-chair of the WA Department of Health Working Group on Chronic Pain and a participant in the development of musculoskeletal and chronic pain models of care for the WA Department of Health Healthcare Network.
